Alison received her Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Education from Texas Christian University. As an undergraduate, Alison served as a United States Congressional intern, a Student Ambassador, and was employed by the TCU Admissions Office for the purpose of recruiting quality high school students.
Ms. Cotten is a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association, a highly selective organization of experienced full-time consultants. She is one of only about 300 professional members worldwide. Additionally, Alison is a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors and the Texas Association of College Admissions Counselors. Alison continuously visits quality colleges and universities across the nation in an effort to better assist students with the most important choice of their educational career. To stay abreast of national trends and issues in higher education, Ms. Cotten regularly attends workshops and seminars offered by such nationally recognized organizations as the Harvard Institute on College Admissions, The College Board, The National Association of College Admissions Counselors, Independent Educational Consultants Association, and the Texas Counseling Association.
